Angel and Widdle Wost Kitty
Angel and Widdle Wost Kitty (his name was suppose to be Arrow but he kept getting lost from his siblings when he was a kitten so he became the Widdle Wost Kitty) belong to Tanya and her family. Her loving family can never turn away a cat in need, and when these black cat twins were born to a feral rescue cat on February 27, 2013, her family was happy to give them a great home.
Bandit
This is Bandit. His owner found him when he was around 7-8 months old on 33rd street in Saskatoon… he was trying to steal food for his supper from the Tim Hortons garbages. He was scrawny, dirty, and had the tiniest little squeak of a meow that could break your heart.
Originally his rescuer tried to find Bandit’s previous owner, but when it became apparent that no one was looking for him, he had already stole the hearts of his rescuer and her other cat Karma.
Bandit loves playing with his toys and his brother, doing somersaults, and cuddling up with his favourite people. He is now healthy and happy and loving his new home and his family.
Bear
This is Bear, a 6-month old foster kitten. His mama was a stray street rescue and had a small litter of 3 kittens. Bear’s siblings, a tabby, and a tuxedo, were quickly adopted but Bear was passed over.
His foster parents tried to get him a home through a satellite adoption centre but he was so lonely and unhappy being by himself in a cage that he would cry himself hoarse. So after a few days his current foster parent picked him up and took him home to foster. He had a little tent to hide in at the store, so she got one for him thinking he was shy and needed time to adjust. But all he needed to be secure was some TLC and some cat buddies. He settled in instantly and is a wonderful little cat. He loves people and cats alike, and loves to play, especially with dangly toys. He loves soft food and is very good about using the scratch posts.
He is a delight to look after, and his foster parent would keep him if she didn’t already have a full house. She’s worried that it will take longer and be harder to get him a good home because he’s black. But she knows that he will get there one day.
Bella
This lovely little girl is named Bella. She is very friendly and loves to play in water. Cats are suppose to hate water but not Bella… she loves playing in her water dish. Her owners name is Tina and Bella sleeps under the covers with her at night. She has to make sure she is against Tina in order to sleep. She loves to play and waits for her owner every night in the window just waiting for her to get home. And what ever room you are in, Bella always has to be in the same room with you.
Blackie
This gorgeous black cat is named Blackie. A woman named Sabrina adopted Blackie for her daughter, who saw an adorable black kitten and basically said “oh mom, can we have him, he never meows, dad will never know…” Despite their best efforts to keep this black cat a secret, he was quickly discovered because he would constantly meow when his new owner (Sabrina’s daughter) was not right by his side. Clearly he loved being around her right from the start. Blackie is now happy and healthy living with his loving family.
Boo-Boo
George
This is George. He was adopted by his owner Kim just last month, right in time for Halloween. He’s four months old and full of energy and love. Kim doesn’t know how she lived without him before, he really brightens up her day.
Gus
This black kitty is named Gus. He’s a beautiful, loving, and comedic black cat who was adopted from the Edmonton Humane Society. With his great personality, and his fun antics (for example his owner calls this situation “Cat vs Pumpkin”), Gus brings his family lots of happiness every single day!
Louis
Louis was adopted from the Humane Society. He is always there to lend a hand when his owner is working on the computer… okay, maybe he just sits on the keyboard! He is full of love and life he is a little explorer who brings a new adventure to everyday. When Louis is not taking naps or causing mischief he can be found strolling around the block in his cat stroller with his adoring humans.
Olive
Olive is a 13 year old black cat that Jaimie has had since she was 19. After she got married and had kids, she and Olive did not have as much time together. So in the last 6 years, Olive has decided that her new person is Jaimie’s oldest daughter, Willow. Jaimie named all 3 of her daughters after witches, so she thinks it’s fitting that Olive has chosen them as her new favourite companions.
“Olive may not like anybody else or enjoy belly rubs, but she is ours and that’s what matters. She loves us, and we love her!”
Sadie
This black cat beauty is named Sadie. She is a very happy cat who just loves to spend time outside.
Whisky
This adorable little black kitty is named Whisky. He’s only 2 months old, and according to his owner, he’s a “lil’ devil”.
