Cats Around the World: Cat House on the Kings

by Paws on Your Heart on May 28, 2013

We love learning about other sanctuaries around the world that are doing amazing work for feral and stray cats. One of the most amazing sanctuaries that we’ve recently learned about is located in California, and it’s one of largest no-kill sanctuaries in the state (and maybe even the whole country). This sanctuary is called Cat House on the Kings.

The sanctuary is run by a remarkable lady named Lynea Lattanzio. She runs the sanctuary on a 12-acre acreage, which means that there’s a lot of room for the over 700 cats and kittens to run around in a safe environment.

700 cats may sounds like a lot of cats… which it is. However, Lynea has been able to give these cats the care that they need thanks to plenty of donations and help from many volunteers.

Although the Cat House on the Kings is a sanctuary, Lynea has still been working to adopt out many of the cats to happy homes. She also provides pet owners with room and board for when the owner is away on vacation, and she also works to provide people with advice and information about cats.

We think that the Cat House on the Kings is a truly inspirational cat sanctuary. Learn more about the sanctuary on the Cat House on the Kings Official Website, and if you’d like to take a look inside of the sanctuary be sure to check out THIS VIDEO.
