Simon’s Cat is a very famous feline thanks to his hilarious, yet realistic viral videos. In addition to his YouTube videos, Simon’s Cat has been featured in books, comics, and on various types of merchandise.
Simon’s cat was introduced to the world in 2008 by his creator Simon Tofield. Although the cat is never named, we’re sure that the feline character was inspired by the many cats in Simon’s life.
The very first video that Simon’s Cat starred in was called Cat Man Do. We loved this video from the start because of it’s relatable plot. What cat owner hasn’t been woken up in the middle of the night by a hungry cat? We can attest to the fact that the cats in our lives will go to many lengths to wake us up in the middle of the night (knocking things off shelves, and even hitting us in the face – just like Simon’s Cat).
This cartoon feline displays such typical cat behaviour that it’s hard for a cat lover (or even an animal lover) not to relate to the videos. From the cat’s adoration of food, to his outdoor adventures, this famous feline is definitely a perfect example of the average domestic cat.
