NAME: Onyx

PERSONALITY: Very nice, a bit shy

FAVOURITES: Hanging out with Toby (as you can see in this picture), getting attention

SPECIAL NEEDS: Diabetic

OTHER/EXTRA: After his first vet accidentally caused Onyx to become diabetic by failing to completely remove all fragments of his teeth when they had to extract some, his condition worsened and he nearly died. In fact, the new vets were insisting that we put him down. We brought Onyx home, and to everyone’s amazement, he lived a full seven years longer! He taught us that if you put extra care in, sometimes the change can be miraculous.
